Incredible wireless flash functionality with Elinchrom RX units, and still capable of extending any flash system.
The Elinchrom Skyport provides wireless triggering of any pc-corded flash and complete wireless control of Elinchrom RX units. Even non-Elinchrom strobes can be made to perform some new tricks, when used with the computer-controlled modules.
The Skyport is a new, miniaturized, ultra secure, high speed data transmission system providing hand held or computer wireless control of all Elinchrom RX power units. By connecting your camera, flash, or even your computer to the various modules, you can change what features are available. You can select from 4 basic modules: Transmitter, Universal Receiver, RX Receiver, Transceiver RX USB.
The Transceiver RX USB plugs into your computer’s USB port and can control all the modules in the system. The included software lets you store various configurations along with a diagram of the shooting layout.
The “Universal Set” is for flash synchronization with other flash systems. Huge technology advances have allowed the modules to be as small as .5 – 1 oz. each, except for the Universal Receiver, which weighs 1.8 oz. including its rechargeable battery.
The included Lithium battery recharges battery in about 3 hours for 30 hours of usage and provides 50,000 flashes per charge, and there’s no limit to the number of lights that the Transmitter can control. An LED indicates charge and operating modes, and the units can operate while charging.
One of the smallest transmitter/receivers on the market, the Skyport can sync up to 1/1000s. The units have a studio operating range of 165 feet, 395 feet outdoors that offers interference free operation with 40 bit security. For multiple flash unit control, there are 8 frequency channels and 4 workgroups.
